During winter, your skin endures many skin challenges. Alternating hot and cold can make your skin look drier and feel more sensitive and irritable. The cold also contracts our blood vessels to preserve heat, limiting the supply of nutrients and oxygen to the skin. Decreased sebum (oil) production occurs because of decreased blood supply.
