Welcome to part two about our seasonal colour palette. In my previous blog about colour palettes, I showed you ways to discover your own seasonal colour palette. In this blog, I show you examples of how to mix and match your colour palette to make the most of your wardrobe.

There are four choices Winter, Summer, Spring and Autumn. We all have a dominant colour palette followed by a secondary palette. My dominant palette is Winter followed by Summer.

I have taken some photos over the last couple of weeks to show how when you stick to your colour palette your whole wardrobe will flow and you will have clothes that you can easily mix and match that will last for many seasons. By purchasing garments that are in your colour palette you will have clothes that suit you and compliment your skin tone.I have detailed the clothes I’m wearing and how long I’ve had them to show this colour palette theory really does work. We all like to get new clothes from time to time but it is important not to just buy on a whim or when things are on sale, if you either don’t totally love the garment or if it’s not your colour. Don’t buy it!I totally believe in wears per item. Some brands do cost more for the initial investment but as you will see in the pictures below some of the clothes, I am wearing are up to 18 years old and still in my wardrobe colour palette and in fashion.I also believe in being able to wear our clothes in different seasons. For example, by investing in a good quality polo neck top, you can put this under some of your dresses that you may wear in summer yet with the polo be warm enough for winter. To wear summer dresses in winter I also team them with polar fleece-lined tights for extra warmth. Below I wear merino under my navy top and fleece tights under the skirt.
