You can, but for an even, professional look we suggest a professional stylist. They can help avoid accidental skin bleaching, uneven or ‘overkill’ hair, as well as accidental colour changes.
Usually this is achieved by sectioning off the desired hair and colouring it separately, gently fading into the main body of hair along the way.
Bleaching with the right techniques, products and protective measures will leave very little to no permanent damage when it comes to your hair.
We recommend that you don’t style with heat every day, as it can create split ends and dry hair out too much. A blow dry 3-5 times a week and iron/curling 1-2 is the maximum we recommend.
Purpose-based shampoo can help to some degree, but it’s no match for a hair toner, especially if you want to switch to a blonde look. Purple will, at the most, give you a yellow/gold colour.
It helps if you can explain your hair type and the look you’re after, but we have professional stylists who can make an assessment for you and provide style tips, if you’re unsure
Styling generally includes any area of the hair that needs trimmed, cut, shaped or contoured. Styling doesn’t always mean colouring, tinting or other details, although it can include this.
